Confident And Curvalicious With Whisper And Nadine Lustre
Confidence is something we all need to have. Even if there are days when we don't feel like it, it takes work to get our faith in ourselves back on track. And sometimes, those days are our period days. It's hard to feel poised for about a week, doesn't it? Luckily, we can let confidence flow on our period days too. With the help of Whisper, Nadine Lustre shows us how to be our most confident during our periods through her music video Curvalicious.
The Event
The debut for Nadine's Curvalicious music video happened last March 20 at the Valkyrie in BGC. Invited were bloggers (like me), media people, and other people who tagged along. For this event, I tagged big time Nadine fan Kari along and invited a friend from online, Krystle. As for the place, Valkyrie was almost entirely decked in pink. It fits Whisper's branding and the women empowerment the event went for that night.
Support Group
Part of being confident also means having friends who reflect your positive aura. And for tonight, it wasn't just Nadine who was on stage. Two of her closest friends, Kiana Valenciano and Lauren Reid, helped open the show and introduced her. Kiana even performed Dua Lipa's hit, "New Rules".
Nadine Enters The Stage
Soon enough, Nadine herself starts performing with 2 G-force dancers. She was up there, confidently swaying in go go boots. (I love go-go boots!) She talked bout how she stays confident, what keeps her empowered, and how to have the same confidence she had. Personally, I think she's the perfect endorser for promoting Whisper because she's very straightforward, honest, and owns her own presence gracefully.
The Music Video
Soon enough, we were treated with the music video itself. It showed Nadine's career progress from being part of a girl group, to cosplaying, to being a teen idol, and eventually, to the mature, confident millennial woman that she is now. It even poked fun at those tabloid headlines that tried to ruin her. Yet here she is, being strong and undefeated.
Aftermath
Overall, I had fun with Kari and Krystle. Celebrating at an event with a brand I've used since forever was pretty cathartic. I've been using Whisper for years and I'm glad I still do. A brand that promotes confidence among women is a brand I can totally get behind with.
