What I Wore On My BGC Holiday

This year, I did a major purge of my closet and got rid of  clothes that didn't feel like a part of my "branding". Judging by what's left of my wardrobe, I'd say my style is casual / practical and easy to mix and match. I love to take long walks outdoors, move around, and have travel-friendly clothes.

My Holy Trinity For Comfort

Most of my clothes are plain blocks of color. I rarely have prints on them, and if I do have prints I'm very selective about it. Mixing and matching is easier with plain colored pieces.  I don't have to worry if it clashes with my bag or other accessories. Much to my family's dismay, I'm not into high end fashion brands that much so I often prefer fast fashion such as H&M, Uniqlo, ad Cotton On. For me, these brands are what I call the Holy Trinity of my wardrobe.

What We Did That Day

Last November 30, we celebrated our friend Arrah's birthday 4 days late. It was the only day where most of us were available, especially the birthday girl. That day covered me working on my blog at Chelsea Grand Cafe, a 2nd attempt to solve Number 1 Fan at Breakout Serendra, and just going around Bonifacio High Street to check out Instagram-worthy walls.

We moved around a lot at the escape room that day. I wanted an outfit that felt cool on the legs and was easy to move around in. Even if it was body fit, I wanted to wear this one H&M dress I've always loved. But I felt like wearing a dress would limit my movements while pants felt a little airtight. So I settled for the timeless shirt and shorts combo. Easy to move in while looking cool and letting my legs breathe. Also as you can also see, I'm not much of a handbag or a tote girl so I often sling around a backpack or a messenger bag. I was eyeing the Herschel Settlement mid-volume backpack for quite a long time for two reasons: the shade of pink with the white grid pattern was very pretty, and it had a 13-inch laptop sleeve that I very much needed.

Do you like mixing and matching basic pieces too?
